If the breakup has been recent, you should be patient and give your man time to think and begin to miss you. But if the breakup was of a more serious nature, it will take some time before he begins making moves. The first indication that he is wanting you back may come from friends. This is usually the first place a man will seek information about his ex if he is interested in getting back with her. He may ask your mutual friends if they have seen you and how you are getting along. He might even ask about your dating status. If he does ask them if you are dating anyone, it could mean that he is worried about losing you. If he did not still care for you, he would not care if you were dating or not.
He might follow up his conversation with the friends by sending you an email, just saying he was thinking about you and hope things are going well for you. By doing this, he might be hoping that you will rush to the phone and call him. Do not call him. If you do, it will make him think that you have been just sitting around waiting for him to contact you. It would be better to just text him and say it was good to hear from him and that things with you are fine. This will make him respect your maturity and want you even more.
This may cause him to give the best sign you will see. He will call you and ask you if you would meet him somewhere for coffee. When a man does this, you know he is serious about wanting you back. Do not show that you are excited about seeing him again. You should act a little reluctant and let him convince you that you should talk. When you meet him, stay calm and let him do the talking. It might not unfold exactly this way, but when you start seeing any or all of these signs, you can be pretty sure your ex boyfriend still loves you and wants you back.
